VIPSTARについてもうちょっと

追記:2005.12.9　01:19

なんだかやたらと訪問数が多いようなのでちょっとだけ書いてみる。

先日経済産業省の境さんと盛り上がっていたのは、このVIPSTARのでき方自体が興味深かったからなんですね。

これまでのプロダクトというのは通常「発注」→「制作」という流れ、つまりニーズや意図がどこかにあってそれを制作サイドの人が受ける形で物が作られていくというのが普通だったはずでして、いわばサーバ‐クライアント型だったはずなのです。
ここまでは言わずもがなですな。
10年近く前に「一の会」を立ち上げたときに岡本呻也さんなんかに話したこととなんら変わりはありません。

さて、これが「イマドキ」になるとどうなるかというのは以下のエントリーにその雰囲気が出ていると思われます。

特定の環境にそのような情報を置けば、自然とモノが腐る。ネットというのは、そういう環境である。

WEB2.0的企業は、公開された議論を背景として公開されたソフトウエアで既知のアイディアを実装したシステムによって公開されたデータを使い価値を生む。彼らにとって、エコシステムに消費されることは、「腐る」ことではなく「発酵」することだ。納豆やチーズのような企業だけが、バイ菌だらけのこの世界で生き残っていけるのだ。

と結んでいます。

逆に考えてみれば、ネットというバイ菌だらけの世界で醗酵しうる、元となるソースはやはり大したものだと思うわけです。それだけパワーがある、という意味でも。
個人的かつVIPSTARに関して言えば、このmp3を聞くことで本家のPOP STARが聞きたくなって「歌バカ」まで買ってしまおうかという気にもなるわけです。
贖罪という意識でもなくポチっとな。

ついでに言えば、昨日の夜はSCE＆SMEの先輩と飲んでいたのですが（言い方が難しいなぁ。東京スカパラの初代ギタリストとか言えばいいのかな？）、彼に手持ちのiPodでVIPSTARを見せたところ大うけで「事務所に電話して笑って済ませるようにお願いしてみるわ。言っとく言っとく」とかいう話になったわけなのでした。
これがどうなるかは判りませんが、制作サイドにいる人間は恐らく同じような受け止め方をするのでしょう。たぶん。

さてこのblogの読者なら僕が以前ラジオ番組や雑誌などで「投稿」企画の運営を長らくやっていたことを知ってるかもしれませんが（PSでゲームもやったなぁ）、そういった場での幸せなムーブメントは必ず自然発生的な話題の盛り上がり方からでてくることを身にしみて知っています。これにはSETI@HOME的というか、世界中のHackerたちがRFCをやりとりしてプログラムを作っていく感じというか、とにかくも今回のVIPSTARの成り立ちにも通じるものを感じてしまうわけです。シンパシーというか。

web2.0がどーのこーのという話になぞらえると、さくまあきらさんがジャンプ放送局をやっていた時期は1.0といえるんでしょう。参加形態がハガキからメール、つまり「（送信料が）50円からほとんど無料」「（到着するまで）三日から瞬間」へと変わったときに変化は始まったんでしょう。たぶん。

以下追記
でちょっと追加。
VIPSTARの替え歌の質ということについても書き忘れてたのでした。
僕はもともと業界デビューが嘉門達夫さんの弟子筋で、見習い放送作家時代の数年間は毎日のように替え歌を考え、週に数千枚のハガキのネタを読み（誇張ではなく2週録りで当時1万数千枚の投稿が来ていた）、さらには作詞印税ももらってたりするのでそれなり以上に敏感なのでありますが、このVIPSTARの替え歌自体の質も結構高いと思うのですよ。変遷していく履歴のページもどこかにあったと思うけど、徐々にブラッシュアップされていくさまがわかって面白かったし。
個人的には最後のあたりの「I wanna be a VIP STAR」が冗長っぽいから無理やりな日本語歌詞を叩き込んだりするのが好みなんだけどもね。最後の二個手前あたりに早口で入れるとぐー。
